Kev used to tease me about sitting home eating bonbons while he was at work. (Which I never actually did.) So when the irony that I am writing for an online magazine called Bonbon Break presented itself, he gave me that "told you so" look that all husbands master at some point.
Today I'm in The Bedroom. He enjoyed that image too. I'm in the bedroom eating bonbons. Art imitates life....imitates art.
My assignment was to write about how my music impacts my life outside of motherhood and I'll admit that it's been so long since the two were mutually exclusive, that at first, it was no easy task. But one I enjoyed. Remembering that part of myself and discovering how it's shaped who I am now was a moment of self discovery that was perfect going into a new year full of possibility as I clear away the cobwebs, the bags of chips, Christmas cookie crumbs and bits of wrapping paper left under the coffee table and get down to biz-nez in 2013.
I guess what I'm saying is...fill up that Johnny Depp coffee mug (that you know we're gonna fight over, right?) and we'll live the dream together, eating bonbons, drinking coffee and dishing with no dishes in sight.
Sound good? Meet you there!
